A labor dispute turns ugly or something.

Believe it or not I had this idea for this silly thing for a while. I started this a decade ago. That newspaper sky is from 2003. I had no idea what the point was then and I'm none the wiser about it now. It simply became something to do to prove to myself that I could still take some random idea from my head and make it real. It's something I recommend everyone do every now and then. It's very empowering.

It started that way, anyway. Then it became therapy. It became something to keep me sane while several parts of my life turned to crushing failure and caused me to finally admit to myself that I'm very unhappy. I've been slowly dying inside for the past several years. It's the perfect time to have a project like this, something to keep you going while you look for answers. Something to help you hold onto some hope that you can still produce something, no matter how stupid and small, and it might actually work and be good and people might actually enjoy it. It's something I can point to and say, "That didn't exist and now it does because I was on this planet." It's not like it was easy. It's taken 7 months. I didn't know how to do half of the stuff in there until I bit the bullet and figured it out. I can't tell you how satisfying it is when you spend hours and hours drawing and calculating and mapping things out, wondering if it's all for shit and then you shoot it. And it works. It actually looks better than you could have hoped. It may seem weird and pretentious to place so much weight on something that is so obviously stupid and random but I don't care. Why lie about how you feel? It's life.
